We headed out of town last thursday afternoon to meet up with the Rippchen clan in Stoughton, WI (outskirts of Madison). It was great to see everyone; amazing how quickly the little nephews and niece grow up. We took a fishing excursion at a couple different local spots on friday morning but nothing was nibbling =( One of them was in Lake Kegonsa State Park which was very beautiful. Saturday morning some of us headed out for a family golf outing. Our golfing trio included Andrew, myself and my big brother Rob and we had a great time. Andrew's golfing game was in fine form...mine on the other hand....? Not so much! We also introduced the Rippchen family to a card game that the Pick's play a lot called golf so that was very entertaining as well. We also got to sneak away for a few hours on saturday to State Street in Madison so we could eat a late lunch and walk around campus...felt like old times walking through the Union Terrace and along the Lakeshore path which was all tree covered and relaxing.
Today was our traveling recovery day so it is officially back to work tomorrow. Sure do love the long extendo holiday weekends!
