Last weekend was a lot of fun. We did our usual coffee drinking, taking long walks and riding bikes type of activiites. It was "BBQ Days" in our town last weekend so we also shot off some fireworks and watch the local fireworks that the city puts on each year. It is always a good show. And, we the best part is can watch the city fireworks from the comfort of our living room which is nice.
We also did more mini golfing...and this time Andrew was victorious by one stroke! We also went to Canterbury Park for some horse racing action on sunday which was fun. Turns out it was "Extreme Day" at the park so they had some really random racing going on including camel and ostrich racing. We witnessed the ostrich racing which was really bizarre but very entertaining. About half the jockey's did not make it to the finish line still on top of their birds. Definitely not something you see every day. We didn't stick around for the camel race, as it was later in the afternoon. Apparently "Extreme Day" was a big hit because Canterbury was really, really crowded.

This will be a bit of a short weekend, as I fly out on sunday for a work conference taking place in Tampa, FL. Will be a brief trip, as I fly back on tuesday afternoon. Looking forward to seeing some old advertising agency friends who I haven't caught up with in ages.
We are starting to get excited about the summer olympics being just around the corner - only now about a couple weeks away. Good stuff! Can't wait!!!
