It hailed today...really?

Well, apparently we live in an area that is VERY prone to hail. Today's stuff was about dime to penny size hail (photos below). The timing of it all was VERY strange. Andrew and I pulled into our neighborhood on our drive home from work and weren't liking the look of the clouds and the rain that was coming down. I even made the comment "sure will be glad when we are home and parked in the garage"...well, it was no more than five minutes after we pulled into our garage when the hail came through. What's up with the hail? Anyhow, we thought this was all pretty classic.
