Luau Photos

We spent Monday evening in Maui going to a luau on front street in Lahaina. Since neither of us had ever been to a luau before we decided to give it a whirl. This luau was a bit different in that it was the only one on the island where each party has a private table and they bring each course directly to you (instead of a buffet). We made our reservation early so we ended up with great seats in the second row. The laua took place over looking the water at sunset - gorgeous!

The luau consisted of four courses (plus dessert) with a festive dance between each course. It started out with a traditional hawaiian hula dance, then some dancing from New Zealand, Tahiti and Samoa and then ended with a fire knife dance which was amazing. Here are some photos...
