Weekend Happenings

What have we been up to this weekend? Well, today was beautiful outside so we tried to make the most of it. Got our nice long coffee walk in and then headed to Edina to check out the Edina Art Fair. Apparently it is the first art fair of the year and the 3rd largest in the state?? Well, that's what i read online anyhow. We enjoyed our time there...didn't make any purchases besides a yummy lunch at a place called "Salut". It was a french/american kind of joint - good stuff!

Yesterday was pretty much a rainy day, so we spent a good chunk of it indoors. Ended up heading to the movie theater (which we haven't done in ages) and watched the new Robin Hood movie. It was pretty good (stars Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchette). We both thought it was pretty good!

Friday night was by far the best weather of the weekend. We got home from work and immediately headed up the hill to get in some golf. There was some kind of big girls golf tourney wrapping up there when we arrived so we played the back nine holes first and then finished on the front nine. A fabulous night for golf (other than the pesky bugs flying around)! I am happy to report that I got par on a par 5 hole (a big accomplishment for me), so that was definitely the highlight of my round for the night. Part of my secret to success was going back to my old putter. I'd been using one with a rounded back edge for over a year now and just wasn't feeling it so went back to my original and am LOVING IT!

A belated happy birthday shout-out to Andrew's dad who celebrated his birthday last friday. Congrats Leon - hope your day was a great one and that retirement life is off to a great start! Also, congrats to our buddies Megan and Dan on the birth of their son "Samson" on friday. We can't wait to meet him!
