Back and heading out...

Andrew and I were in Las Vegas over the weekend and earlier this week for some much needed R&R time. We've both been running really hard with work stuff the past couple months so was great to get away and get to spend some time catching up with our buddies Sarah and David who live in LA. They escaped LA just in time before most of the ridiculous rain/mudslide action began...quite the weather we've been having across the US this fall/early winter?!

We were able to miss out on a snowstorm on Monday which is nice...but had to snowblow our driveway before we could park the car in the garage last night. Another 6+ inches apparently. Never a dull moment?! We watched the Monday Night Football game with the Vikings from one of the sports bar areas while in Vegas; crazy to think it was 1981 the last time the Vikings played a homegame outdoors. The timing of the metrodome collapse is quite curious...maybe the Vikings will get a new stadium afterall?? Who knows...

Las Vegas was great. Very happy to escape to a place where there isn't heaps of snow on the ground! And...it was around 60 degrees while we were there which was perfect! Only a little bit of rain while we were there; not too bad at all.

Received a phone call last friday night from my younger brother Ryan and his girlfriend Deborah with some very exciting news. They are newly engaged - way to go guys! Very exciting news!

Lexus was extremely happy to see us when we got home last evening. She is relaxing on my lap as I work on this blog entry and watch one of the college football bowl games. Still a bit amazed at how fast the fall flew by. Doesn't seem like it should be Christmas later this week.

We are both very much enjoying some time off. Looking forward to seeing some Pick's and Rippchen's later this week to celebrate the holidays!
