Gaylord Texan Hotel!

Dallas was GREAT!!!

During our trip we stayed at the Gaylord Texan Hotel. Andrew's little brother Lucas suggested the place to us and WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! It was more "resort" than "hotel" with shops, restaurants, etc., all under the same complex. The sports bar/restaurant sported a 52' television screen. Quite the sight! Speaking of sights - check out the view of Lake Grapevine from our room! Very cool.

Also, it was conveniently located close to the DFW airport which worked out well so we could pickup Andrew's brothers Adam and Aaron when they flew in. They didn't have a rental so we cruised around with them while they were there; enjoyed getting to spend more time with both of them! Now if only they brought their beautiful brides with them...!

The Gaylord had a whole "Alice in Wonderland" theme going on which was fun!

It also had various areas themed after Texas sights (Alamo; San Antonio River Walk; etc). Would definitely stay there again next time we're back in the Dallas area. We picked up Andrew's brother Aaron on Saturday morning and brought him back to the Gaylord for lunch. While walking around the property we actually ran into SOMEONE WE KNEW. How is that possible? Turns out Andrew's cousin Michael and his wife Deborah were staying at the hotel as part of their 33rd wedding anniversary celebration. Deborah was crusin' around the hotel when we ran into her...how neat!

Here's a random assortment of pictures from around the Gaylord:
